This Christmas, Wycombe Sound is proud to bring you a festive schedule packed with familiar voices, special programmes and a real sense of local togetherness.
Christmas Eve is the perfect soundtrack to your final preparations, with our regular daytime shows keeping things warm and friendly from breakfast through to drivetime. The evening brings a few seasonal treats, including The Wycombe Wanderers Show a day earlier than usual, The Arts Show, and a slightly earlier Nice and Easy with Alan Purslow to help you wind down. As midnight approaches, join our live broadcast of Midnight Mass from All Saints, sharing this special local tradition with listeners across the area.
On Christmas Day, we’re live again in the morning, bringing you a relaxed and cheerful start with Luke Hashman and David Weston. The afternoon features the ever-popular Three Wise Monkeys, followed by Keith Bowden’s Christmas Number 1s – including the current Number 1 for the very first time. In the evening, you’ll have another chance to listen to The Wycombe Wanderers Show and Three Wise Monkeys – perfect if earlier celebrations meant you missed them.
Boxing Day keeps the festive spirit going, with Mark Hobbs and Andi Fulton soundtracking your morning, followed by a special broadcast of The Nutcracker narrated by Heather Harrison, and comprehensive coverage of Luton Town v Wycombe Wanderers, from build-up to post-match reaction. The day rounds off with Keith Bowden’s Party Show and Dance Anthems with Tim James to see Boxing Day out in style.
Wherever and however you’re celebrating, we’re delighted to be part of your Christmas. 🎄
