It is with a heavy heart that Wycombe Sound shares the passing of John Murphy.

John has been an active volunteer at Wycombe Sound, having presented many shows such as “Musical Mystery Tour”, “Off the Chart” and more recently, part of our daytime team. Along with keeping busy on air, John volunteered behind the scenes overseeing the station’s finances in recent years.

Following a short illness, he remained involved with the station until his final days. We will all miss his quick wit & humour along with his strong sense of community which he gave to the town.

Everyone at Wycombe Sound sends our condolences to John’s family, as he leaves a huge gap in the hearts of so many.
