Ahead of the 40th Henley Festival Colin spoke to a few of the artists who will be performing at the festival.
Tom Webber
Tom Webber picked up a guitar at the age of 12 and his career as a performer started as a busker on an Oxford street-corner when he was just 15 and from then on had known that music would be his life.
No more singing in the street for Tom: he’s regularly on stage at various Oxfordshire venues, with film star looks and a cool wardrobe. He is a young man in love with great songs – he started out playing covers – rockers and love songs but is now focused on writing his own material. There’s a hint of Sam Cooke’s silky voice and fabulous charm, but he has a style all of his own, and a dose of charisma that’s won him an instant following
Gina Larner
As an established artist, Gina has opened for Westlife singer Brian McFadden, ‘Atomic Kitten’ Natasha Hamilton on her solo album tour, as well as country/rock icon KT Tunstall, all in her first year of management. As well as brilliant performances, Gina’s songwriting shines, and she has written for multiple other artists, with songs to be released on their next album.
Bikini Beach Band
The Bikini Beach Boys, are back in Henley along with their twangtastic versions of popular pop songs! A great fun band playing Surf Guitar music with the Hula Honeys resplendent in grass skirts… It’s just great great fun
Jai Amore
Jai Amore is a British-Ghanaian singer and songwriter from London. He won the MOBO Unsigned Award at the Royal Albert Hall, the UKU Best Performer Award at the Clapham Grand, and the BBC Performing Arts Fund Award. In 2020, Jai Amore opened the Formula 1 Grand Prix to an international audience of over 300 million viewers, singing the British National Anthem.
Adam Issac
Adam Isaac has years of experience as a sought-after musician. He has performed across the globe at luxury events and parties, supported widely renowned chart toppers ASH, Joss Stone, Sandi Thom and Toploader, and in 2012 Adam made it to the quarter-final stages of BBC’s The Voice UK with the legendary Sir Tom Jones as his coach.
