Congratulations to all those who received awards and nominations. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our volunteers and everyone who has contributed to the station. We have producers, presenters and others who work behind the scenes producing content across a wide range of genres that is worthy of any commercial/professional station. Many of our volunteers have no previous broadcasting experience.’’

Chris Phillips, Managing Director added ‘To be recognised at this level before we reach our 1st birthday is a dream come true. Our birthday party will now be extra special!’

Wycombe Sound 106.6FM went live on 31 October 2016, following three very successful RSLs. Run by a core team with 100+ volunteers, from all walks of life and aged 17 to 77, we serve a core target demographic of 35-70 year olds. While we have only been on air on a permanent basis for a short time, the impact on the community of having a local radio station has been immense, with listeners saying we have “put the buzz back into High Wycombe”.
