Wycombe Wanderers try to help fans not catered for at Bristol Rovers

Due to the demolition of Bristol Rovers South Stand and the failure to replace it, there is no undercover seated area for away fans, which is an EFL requirement. Wycombe Wanderers will only have 500 away tickets on the uncovered terrace on Saturday. Disabled fans requiring a seat would have to be positioned in any vacant home areas, away from each other and their fellow fans. The club’s Disabled Supporters Association have cancelled their trip due to the inadequate facilities.

The Level Playing Field organisation, which champions the needs of disabled fans, are deeply concerned. Many other Chairboys fans, who regularly travel to away games have expressed their concerns and will not be able to attend. The club has looked to find solutions and requested a beamback facility at Adams Park for those who want to watch the game in comfort but that has been rejected by the EFL, which means leaving elderly fans/those with mobility issues with no way to watch the games.

Head of Audio and Broadcast at Wycombe Wanderers Phil Catchpole spoke to The Wycombe Wanderers Show.
